Start them young...

Did you know that I am a grandma? This is a picture that my daughter took of me reading with my granddaughter that is 3 months old, she loves to sit and listen to me read books. I hope you also enjoy reading books together with those you love. If you have a younger sibling, cousin or know anyone that has a baby, you should read to them! Here is an article about the benefits of reading to babies.

Did you Know?

Did you know that some of our library books are media enhanced? What that means is they have online resources like videos, web links and other hands-on activities and experiments that are connected with the information in the book? If a book you check out has this AV2 symbol in it, pictured above, follow the instructions inside the book to go to these online resources and have fun discovering a little more.

Book Talks

This week we are discussing "book talks" and how we can share books we have enjoyed reading with others. One way of sharing books that we are exploring is through making a video with ChatterPix, and literally making the book (or a picture of the book) talk!
Check out the video below to see how ChatterPix works, it's pretty fun.
