A Fine Dessert

This week we are talking about timelines and how things like recipes and traditions are passed down from generation to generation. I am sharing the book "A Fine Dessert" by Emily Jenkins about how a dessert called blackberry fool has been made through four centuries. Below is the recipe from the book if you'd like to try it.

My Teacher for President

This week we are talking about the qualities we would like in our president, and recognizing that our teachers have some of these qualities. Students can write a note to teachers telling them why they would vote for them for president, and vote for the teacher they think would be the best president. We'll see who would get elected at Orchard Elementary.
