There may be "wild things" around the school this week for Halloween.
It's fun to dress up and pretend,
but I hope you go too WILD like Max in this story.
Origami books seem to be some of the most popular books in our library. Click on the link under this picture to see a video on how to make these fun cat & broomstick origami figures.
Please help the library be more organized and efficient...
Be proactive...
Put books away where they belong.
If you see a problem, fix it.
Be responsible and show respect.
Synergize...
Spend a few minutes every week straightening.
If everyone works together, I know we can have a better library.
Think with the end in mind...
Be on task.
Straighten then find a book you want.

This week we read the book "Doug Unplugged" by Dan Yaccarino, about a robot that learns everything by being plugged in and downloading facts. Then, one day Doug decides to go out into the city and discovers he can learn more through his experiences. This month the PTA's unplugged challenge is to go out and play, something that Doug learns to do in the book we shared. So be like Doug, go out and have fun playing!
We will have art that students submitted for the Reflections contest on display in the library this week. We have had a record number of entries at our school this year, great work "unplugging" and creating in September. Here are a few pics of the art on display.
