A little advice from Millie about reading this summer...

MAY  THE 4th BE WITH YOU!

Star wars books have become very popular in the library.  This week we have a special basket of Star Wars books that Mrs. Morley has been collecting just for you to enjoy. 

Even Darth Vader loves to read!

I know it is sad to see this school year, and the fun we've had in the library, come to an end. But, whether we like it or not, the end is fast approaching and your library books are due in 2 weeks, May 9th-13th. Every year there are those that want to keep their books past the final due date. I'm happy that you love to read, but in order to get things done that I need to before the end of the year I really do need to have books in when they're due. We will have summer library from 10 AM-12PM on Mondays and I hope to see you there, but you need to be responsible and return all your books before this school year ends before you can have the privilege of checking books out over the summer!

We logged 2 million minutes! 

One lucky student had their name drawn at our reading assembly and got the privilege of smashing a pie in Mr. Stevenson's face. 

April is National Poetry Month!

Scholastic is sponsoring a contest that invites students 

in grades 1–6 to write poems that answer the 

question “What makes the USA special to you?”

Students can win $500 and their teachers have the chance to win a $150 gift card, pencils, and more!
