Begin with the End in Mind

Our focus this week is "Begin with the End in Mind" so we are sharing books with characters that practice this trait. With upper grades I am book-talking a few books from Roald Dahl, since his birthday is on Sept.13th and many of his books have characters that used the "Begin with the End in Mind" attitude to overcome obstacles. With younger grade we are reading "Whistle for Willie" by EzrJack Keats about a boy who desperately wants to learn to whistle.

Be Proactive

This week we are reading books with characters that are examples of being proactive, Esperanza in "Esperanza Rising", and the Page in "King Bidgood's in the Bathtub." How have you been proactive this week?
